The Bronze sculpture „Eves Appel“ is based on the following story: even in ancient times, the apple was associated with the goddesses worshipped as a symbol of seduction and fertility. The two goddesses of love, Aphrodite and Venus, carried a pithy fruit with them - as did Hera, Athena and the Germanic goddess Iduna, the guardian of golden apples. The fruit also had great significance for the non-divine Greeks at the time. If a young Greek wanted to get engaged, he would throw an apple to his chosen one. If she caught it, nothing stood in the way of the wedding. This particular apple symbolises the fruit of seduction like no other. The very finely crafted creation „Eve's Apple“ by Rudolfo Bucacio, certainly awakens quite different desires in the viewer.
