Description
The artist Paul John Ballard created a brilliant „crucifix“, an artistic depiction of the crucified Jesus. In contrast to the simple Christian cross, the crucifix bears the body of the crucified (corpus). It symbolises the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ, which, according to Christian belief, he brought for the redemption of mankind.
The intricately handcrafted bronze crucifix, in which the nails have been replaced with real rubies, is highly delicate and expressive!
The gold/silver-coloured heavy bronze crucifix offers the viewer peace and hope and symbolises the great love of the bereaved for the deceased.
The Bronze sculpture Jesus on the cross is an outstandingly successful masterpiece of filigree bronze art.
